Czech Chatter: Cause for Celebration!!!!

Let's Celebrate!!!

I have reached my goal! I am now fully supported and I can get started on summer camp planning!! I am so thankful for each one of you on my team and so excited for how the Lord will continue to use us all in the lives of Czechs!

This last month has been full of meetings and continuing to adjust to being back. I've spent a lot of time with Elyse and Miriam, talking about life and ministry and planning for a smooth transition for the Cook family who will be joining us in June!! I am also working on setting language learning goals and ironing out a plan for starting classes again in the fall. Honza and I talked to our mechanic about getting a car and I should have it before the summer. I'm excited to have my own vehicle again soon! Slowly but surely things are coming together and I'm getting settled in.

LCM

We are currently in the middle of several training sessions for all of Word of Life Europe aimed at connecting with local churches. This "branch" of Word of Life ministry is called "LCM" (Local Church Ministry) and encompasses any cooperation we do with churches - Bible clubs, VBS programs, etc. WOL is a "parachurch" organization, which means we work alongside churches, and it's something we are constantly trying to improve and expand. We want to have a clear understanding of what the churches in our countries need and how we can help them. These meetings have been very informative and have started wonderful conversations among the staff here in Czech about our goals going forward for LCM in Czech.

Reconnecting with the Deaf Community

I was able to join a virtual meeting with the Deaf church and it was really good to see some of them again! My Czech Sign Language is definitely rusty but I know it will come back once I spend more time with them. Hopefully we can meet in person soon! They will also be renting our property for a retreat in August and I'll be cooking for the whole group.

- pray for the Cook family (Adam, Julie, Ellie, Tyler, & Sam) as they begin the process of saying goodbye and preparing to leave the USA

- praise for a super mechanic who is knowledgeable and knows what car is best - and also speaks English!
