Plans For Peace - and Perfect Timing

Welcome to the shortest month of the year! I don’t know about where you are, but it’s turning out to be the coldest month too, which is pretty normal for Western NY.

“For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Certainly a very popular verse, but I don’t think the passage around it is as well known. God had just allowed Babylon to take His people captive. And I am sure they felt confused and abandoned. It is one of those moments that you hear the phrase ‘How could a loving God allow…..?’ But God told them that He had a plan! He allowed this to bring them closer to Himself. Once their time in captivity was over, they would return to their land, but more importantly, to their Creator!! This situation caused them to seek Him with their whole hearts and to experience the closeness that the Lord desires for all of us! He always has a plan, and everything that happens fits into that plan. We may never know how it all works together, but He promises it is for our good and His glory. Through all the delays and slow process and changes in schedule, I am constantly reminded that God is working His perfect plan. Over and over, different details have worked out in ways I never imagined, in ways they never would have had things been “normal”. The Lord knows what is going on, and He uses those situations to draw me closer to Him. He has plans to bring me peace and not evil, and He has that for you too!!

Praise the Lord I am now at 76% of my monthly support and 90% of my set-up fund!! I now need less than a thousand dollars for monthly support and that means that I will be ready to go very soon! I have several church and group presentations lined up for February, March, and April, and I am aiming to have tickets in hand for the end of April!! It has been a whirlwind five months and while I am glad it will soon be finished, I am so thankful for this time to meet with all of you and invest in the team that is investing in me. I’m so grateful for each person on this team and so excited for the ministry we are all going to be a part of in Czech Republic!

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers! God bless you all!!

Love in Christ,

Adele

  1. Hi Adele...thank you...will continue to keep you in prayer to reach your goal! Urgent prayer request: My younger brother is being highly pressured to sign paperwork forcing him to give up his entire income and apartment and stay permanently in this facility! Please pray he does not give in to the pressure, he knows the True God is helping him to be extremely strong under this extreme pressure where the people are relentless, and they release him immediately in Jesus name! Thank you!

  2. Thanks for sharing Adel. It has been a great encouragement for me. That’s true that not often we read that kind of books in the Bible. I see it in myself that I prefer to read something in the New Testament. But the thing is that in the Old Testament we can learn a lot, too. Especially about how God works.
Sometimes when I have a storm in my live it’s hard to trust God and these verses like Jeremiah 29:11 seems unreal, then. But the fact that I believe the Bible is true and my God is real helps me to see that hope. It’s good to know that those hard times in our lives have a purpose and that God has everything in control. I want to spend more time reading the Old Testament’s books . Once again thank you for sharing.
I hope that you have 100% of your monthly support since you wrote it in February. I’ll pray for you and I hope you’re doing well.

    1. Hello Julia! I'm glad this was an encouragement for you! It can be hard to remember that God is in control when we feel like everything is a mess. But He does have a purpose for everything we go through. I know for me there have been many times where I wondered what was happening and now I can look back and see how God grew me in those situations. Often a storm is an invitation from the Lord to trust Him more!

I did reach 100%!! Thank you!
