Happy New Year!!

 Happy New Year everyone!! I pray this letter finds you well and enjoying the first few weeks of this new year.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

This is my life verse, and every time I look at it I am reminded that I must trust the Lord with everything. There is so much unrest and uncertainty and change and it can all be very overwhelming. But God commands us not to be anxious, not to worry. It’s not a suggestion or a recommendation, it is a command! And only when we lay all our anxieties before Him can we experience His complete peace. The peace that is greater and more powerful than we can imagine. The peace that only comes through our relationship and reliance on the Lord. It doesn’t just feel good either. It guards us against the worries and anxieties that the devil continues to press upon us. God has promised us that He will take care of us. And I can assure you that resting in that knowledge is a whole lot better than the worrying!! My prayer for all of you is that despite anything that may happen in your personal lives or in the world in general that you would cast all your cares on Jesus and rest in the peace He gives you.

-         -  For the Czech as they are in another lockdown

-          - Health and safety, especially over the holidays

-           - Christmas spent with my whole family

Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? I normally prefer to set goals for three to four months, versus twelve. However, I did make some goals for the whole year of 2021, as well as some that I am determined will be accomplished before even half the year is gone! One of those being, of course, that I will be back in Czech. I have about 60% of my monthly goal, and over 70% of my set- up goal, so the ticket hunting and packing aren’t too far away!!
